Overcoming Challenges

“I was born with challenges. A cyst on my spinal fluid sac caused my vertebrae to not develop. This, in turn, made me more susceptible to the breakdown of my immune system, thus, leading to Systemic Lupus. Epilepsy was always lying dormant, waiting. It’s all connected. It’s just one of those things. Every body is different. I appreciate my unique conditions. I really wouldn’t trade Epilepsy for anything. It is a huge artistic advantage, just a bit inconvenient at times.
Lupus; I pretend I don’t have it and it believes me . . . most of the time.
Training for world championship competition was a great distraction. Who has time to complain about being sick when there is a gold medal at stake?
Overall, humans are an adaptable lot. You gotta take what you get and do the very best you can. Don’t just flippantly say it’s the best. Really put yourself out there and DO IT.” – Annetta Lucero

Your “1-step-program” is the best program there is. It doesn’t help you to stick to the problem: just GET OVER IT. Thanks for this lesson.
